I+G,  also known as disodium 5'-inosinat and disodium 5'-guanylate, is a  combination of two flavor enhancers: 5'-sodium inosinate (IMP) and 5'-sodium  guanylate (GMP). It is widely used in the food industry as a flavor enhancer  to improve the umami taste of various foods.     

Application

1. Flavor Enhancer: I+G is commonly used as a   flavor enhancer to intensify the umami taste of various foods. It is   particularly effective in soups, sauces, gravies, and broths, where it adds   depth and richness to the flavor profile.
2. Synergistic Effect with MSG: When combined with monosodium glutamate   (MSG), I+G produces a synergistic effect, significantly enhancing the overall   flavor of dishes. This combination is often used in seasoning blends, snack   products, and processed foods.
