Product Description

Polydextrose   is normally utilized as a sucrose replacement in conjunction with high   inten-sity sweeteners such as sucralose or aspartame . It is used effectively   as a low caloriebulking agent in foods such as ice cream, hard and chewy   candies, nutrition and supplement bars, and beverages.    


Application

1. Dietary Fiber Enhancer: It is used to   increase the dietary fiber content in foods, which can improve digestive   health and provide other associated benefits of soluble fiber   consumption.
2. Sugar Replacer: Polydextrose serves as a low-calorie substitute for   sugar, helping to sweeten food products without significantly adding   calories, making it useful in weight management and diabetic-friendly   foods.
3. Fat Replacement: It can replace fat in recipes, reducing the fat content   and calories in foods, which is particularly advantageous in producing   lower-fat versions of dairy products, desserts, and spreads.
4. Texture Modifier: In baked goods, polydextrose helps to improve moisture   retention and extend shelf life, while also adding body and a creamy texture   to foods like ice cream.
5. Stabilizer: Polydextrose acts as a stabilizer in frozen desserts,   preventing the formation of large ice crystals and maintaining a smooth   texture during storage.
