Product Description

1. Ascorbic Acid  is a white or slightly yellow crystals or  powder,a little acid.m.p.190℃-192℃,easily soluble in water,a little soluble  in alcohol and uneasily soluble in Ether and chlorofom and other organic  solvent.In solid state it is stable in air.Its water solution is easliy  mutated when it meets with air.
2. Usage: In the pharmaceutical industry,can be used to treat  scurvy and various acute and chronic  infections diseases,are applicable to the lack of VC,
3. In the food industry, it  can both use as nutrition-al supplements,supplementary VC in food  processing,and also is good Antioxidants in food preservation,widely used in  meat products,,fermented flour products,beer,tea dtinks, fruit juice,canned  fruit,canned meat and so on;also commonly used in cosmetics,feed additives  and other industrial areas.    


Application

1. Antioxidant: It prevents oxidation of foods,   which can lead to off-flavors and discoloration. This is particularly   important in products like fruit juices, soft drinks, and dried fruits.
2. Preservative: Ascorbic acid extends the shelf life of foods by inhibiting   the growth of bacteria, yeasts, and molds. This makes it useful in products   like meats, dairy, and baked goods.

4. Enzyme Inhibitor: Ascorbic acid inhibits the action of certain enzymes that   can cause undesirable changes in food, such as browning and texture   changes.
5. Nutritional Supplement: It is added to foods as a source of vitamin C to   improve their nutritional value. This is common in products like breakfast   cereals, energy bars, and beverages.
6. Flavor Enhancer: Ascorbic acid enhances the flavor of food products by   adding a slight tartness. This is often used in confectionery, desserts, and   beverages.
7. Beverage Stabilizer: It helps to stabilize the flavor and color of   beverages, especially those containing natural flavors and colors.
