Product Description
ε-Poly-L-lysine hydrochloride (ε-PL·HCl) is a homopolymer consisting of 25 to 35 L-lysine residues, produced by the controlled fermentation of Streptomyces albulus culture broth followed by adsorption with ion exchange resins, desorption, and purification. It exhibits significant inhibitory effects on Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, yeasts, molds, and other microorganisms, finding widespread applications in the food, daily chemical, and pharmaceutical industries. This substance can be digested and absorbed by the human body, breaking down into the essential amino acid lysine required by the body.
