Product Description

1.  Citric acid monohydrate, commonly known as citric acid, is an organic weak  acid that occurs naturally in citrus fruits. It is widely used as a food  additive for its sour taste and as a preservative due to its antimicrobial  properties.
2. Citric acid is the world's largest organic acid produced by biochemical  methods. Citric acid and its salts are one of the pillars of the fermentation  industry and are mainly used in the food industry as an acidifier,  solubilizer, buffering agent, antioxidant, deodorizer, flavor enhancer,  gelling agent, coloring agent, etc.

Application

1 Beverages: It is a common acidulant in soft   drinks, juices, and sports drinks to provide tartness and improve   flavor.
2. Canned Foods: Used to control pH levels and prevent botulism by creating   an acidic environment unfavorable to Clostridium botulinum growth.
3. Dairy Products: In dairy-based beverages and desserts, it enhances   tartness and acts as a natural preservative.
4. Meat Products: As an emulsifying agent, it helps in the processing of   meats like ham, sausages, and salami.
5. Confectionery: In candies and chewing gums, it provides sour taste and   acts as a flavor enhancer.
6. Jam and Jelly: Used to increase shelf life and reduce spoilage by   lowering the pH.
7. Bakery Products: It regulates the pH of dough, which can affect proofing   times and crumb structure in baked goods.
8. Fruit Juices: As a flavor and antioxidant enhancer, it maintains the   natural color and taste of fruit juices.
9. Salad Dressings: Contributes to flavor balance and helps stabilize   emulsions in dressings.
10. Sugar Substitutes: In products like stevia or monk fruit sweeteners, it   masks any off-tastes and improves overall palatability.
11. Nutritional Supplements: Helps to stabilize and preserve vitamins and   minerals in fortified foods.
12. Vinegar and Pickling: Used in the production of vinegar and as an   ingredient in pickling solutions to aid in fermentation and preservation
